Some programming languages are like essays. They are just instructions written top down. Java is an object oriented programming language and behaves differently.

In Java, instuctions are written in “bubbles” called methods. A method a set of instructions that can be called at anytime to perfrom a certain task. For example, if we had a robot that we wanted to instruct to bake a cakeĀ using Java, we would need to write a methods for all the processes involved in baking a cake. We would write a “pour” method, a “stir” method, a “bake” method, and a “checkIfDone” method. The “checkIfDone” methodĀ is one of the only methods listed that doesn’t need a parameter. Since it is the cake baking robot.
